Punk Rock music widely used the Checkerboard pattern with designers like Vivienne Westwood and Burberry following suit. In the 1970’s Skate culture claimed the checkerboard pattern and never looked back
And Pharrell Williams newly turned creative director of Louis Vuitton Menswear after quite a career in hip hop showed checkerboard patterns in his debut collection for Louis Vuitton (Menswear, Spring-Summer 2024)
